Hi I read the book called Free Baseball. I would like to present this to a friend because it actually teaches you some Spanish and it perfect for a medium reading level and who loves baseball. Actually my favorite part is that Felix’s dad is a baseball player. It made me think it would be cool to have a dad like that!

Shredderman by Wendelin Van Draanen
I read the book Shredderman. I would recommend this book to a friend because it is about bullying. I think all kids know about bullying and this book helps you deal with bullying problems. Bubba is your typical bully, he cheats and steals and lies. Nolan is your typical nerd, little, math whiz and kids think he is a geek. I like that Nolan has the courage to stand up to Bubba and help other kids that are being bullied. He teaches his friends how to handle someone like Bubba and stand up for themselves. If you have ever been bullied in your life, this is a great book for you!
I read Free Baseball written by Sue Corbett. I would definately recommend this book to a friend, especially someone who likes baseball and enjoys to read. The main character, Felix, ends up spending time with a Cuban Baseball team. It takes place in a time when not everyone was free and Felix finds out the price of freedom may have cost him in knowing his father. He finds out about his heritage and family while with the team. One special part of the book is when Felix becomes the batboy. One interestng thing in the book is that it substitutes spanish words for english words which made it even more interesting to read. This book is ideal for anyone, boy or girl, with an interest in baseball and reading.

I read the book MY LIFE IN DOG YEARS. It was written by Gary Paulsen. It has 137 pages. Each chapter of the book is about a different dog that Gary Paulsen had. My favorite chapter was the one about Cookie. Cookie was his first dog and was a sled dog. Cookie saves his life by yanking all the other dogs up to pull him out of a lake when he fell through the ice.
I would recommend this book to everyone, especially if you like animals and dogs.

For my summer reading project, I read the book The Year of Miss Agnes by Kirkpatrick Hill. I would recommend this to a friend, especially if they have an interest in Alaska, since that’s where the story takes place. The most interesting part to me was the end, when Miss Agnes decided to stay in Alaska instead of going back to her hometown. I really liked this book.

I read the book MY LIFE IN DOG YEARS. It was written by Gary Paulsen. It is a book of stories about some of his dogs. MY favorite story was about his first dog Snowball. Snowball saved Gary when a drunk driver was swerving and…you’re going to have to read the book to find out what happens.
I would definitely recommend this book to animal lovers.
